Teaching children from the ages of six to eleven is the responsibility of a Primary School Teacher. These professionals work in government or private academic establishments. They use the assigned curriculum to engage students in learning their foundational courses; building their knowledge and skills to get into High Schools. Teachers work 5 day weeks, for approximately 8 or so hours. Time is also required to prepare lessons and monitor the student’s extracurricular activities.
A Primary School Teacher usually performs many of the following tasks:
• Meeting with parents to discuss student progress
• Preparing lessons
• Attending meetings
• Organising the classroom
• Motivating pupils
• Maintaining discipline
• Liaising with colleagues
• Coordinating activities
• Conducting research
